Subject: How to turn the backlight on?

Hi,

after setting auto-boot? to true, the kernel turns the backlight (on
Powerbook 3400c) and I can't see
anything.
How can I fix this? Typing 'boot' every time is no
more fun :(

PS. In faq it is written that I need to "Turn up the brightness on your
PowerBook screen to fix this."
But it doesn't work somehow...
