well ..XFree builds just fine, but Xaw drops alot of warnings
and break the building of programs.

its weird because Xaw builds and installs nice without any
errors. So the errors throw up in installed mode or just
in the X source tree.

I am using the current version from ftp.netbsd.org downloaded
today. I applied the patch posted in message:

http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-macppc/2001/09/30/0000.html

here are the errors ...any suggestions ?

/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so: warning: tmpnam() possibly used unsafely,
use mkstemp() or mkdtemp()
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so: undefined reference to `wcslen'
