I have added the following to my /etc/rc.conf file...

  defaultrouter=54.13.16.254
  hostname=slafredo

I created a file called '/etc/networks/ifconfig.de0' containing the
line

 54.13.16.201 netmask 255.255.255.0 media 10BaseT

When I boot the kernel recognized the network interface and added the
default router.

When I execute 'netstat -rn' I get the following output...

Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use MTU Interface
Default          54.13.16.254       UGS     0      0   1500    de0
54.13.16/24      54.13.16.201       UGS     0     45   1500    de0
54.13.16.201/32  00:00:94:87:33:72  ULS2    1      4   1500    ln0
127              127.0.0.1          UGRS    0      0  33228    ln0
127.0.0.1        127.0.0.1          UH      1     52  33228    ln0

When I ping I 54.13.16.254, Iget one of the following responses...
 - sent to no buffer space available.
 - host down

When I monitor the ethernet port I do not see anything.

Does anyone know what I still need to configure? Which file or
parameter I need to check?

Thanks.

S
