Yes.

You need an OpenFirmware patch which you can either apply by hand
using nvedit or (imho, wimp out and ;^>) apply using a tool from
Apple.

Have a look at Michael Wolfson's good explanation linked off the FAQ
at:

  http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/SystemDisk-tutorial/of105patch.html

It tells you the easy way.

If you want to be a man about it (or have annhilated Mac OS already
and either don't want to or can't install it on a spare disk),
you'll want:

  http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/nvedit.html

Note that there are two patches your 7500 will probably need (one to
sync the graphics card properly and one to get the boot cycle to
keep retrying until the SCSI disk has spun up). Contrary to popular
belief, I *have* been able to fit both of these patches into the
nvram on a 7300. I've never bothered to try on my 7500 as it's a
headless server. But there's theoretically no difference between the
two.

Maybe?

We have the device detect:

macofcons0 at pci? dev ? function ?

commented out in the GENERIC kernel.

I've never played with it, and man -k openfirmware doesn't turn
anything up on my (1.5) macppc system, so I can't help you with
userland utilities to twiddle it. But I'm sure someone here can.
