Hi Folks!

For the life of me I cannot get NetBSD to boot/install on my Performa 6400. I
have followed the install manual and I read through the list archive thread on
the issue back in September, but I am still unsuccessful.

I would like to install it on an internal SCSI hard drive (SCSI ID 0). I have
tried floppy booting and burning an ISO (only) CD of the 1.5.2 ISO image (with
ofboot.xcf and netbsd.ram.gz moved to the top level). Attempts to boot or dir
the scsi cd results in the “RESETing SCSI bus” hang which Peter Eisch wrote
about in the September thread.

Please, could someone offer any additional tips? Thanks.

Below are some of my serial device logs. Particularly interesting is the boot
floppy install process...

Here are my devaliases and the list of devices

at this point, the monitor has suddenly woken up (I’ve been using a serial
device for all of the OF stuff), the system reboots and I’m right back to open
firmware!

Thanks.
