I have tested and worked fine on My StarMax 3000/180, 603e,180MHz
machine, although the through put may not be terrific.
Reading: non ATA/66 : 7.7MBytes/sec
              ATA/66 : 9.0MBytes/sec

My model is ACARD,6260M which is with OpenFirmware ROM and for MacOS
version.

Thanks Monroe,
