OSX 10.0.x is usable if you have *lots* of ram. I run it on my G3 Wallstreet with 320MB.
With 128 MB it is very slow. A very cool feature is the very fast sleep/awake which takes under 4 secs.

If 1.5.1 boots from CD, on this computer I will also install that.
