I have a similar keyboard for my iMac; I find the | is shift + the key to
the right of the leftside shift key (marked with > and < on my keyboard)
when I use the US layout.

I don't know whether COMPAT_LINUX is/will be in 1.5.1, but my guess is that
it is just in -current. As for the syssrc, I think the right sources to use
are
ftp://ftp.NetBSD.ORG/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-release-1-5/tar_files/src/sys.tar.gz
which match the BETA2 release better.

At least those are what I have used. Someone please correct me if I am
mistaken about this.
