Strictly speaking, you don't need the HFS+ "boot partition" at all, since
you can run the boot program (ofwboot.xcf) from the other HD or from your
main HFS+ partition.  Just put a single HFS+ partition at the start of the
drive and leave ofwboot.xcf at the top level (NOT on the desktop, which is
actually a hidden subfolder of the top level).

With the size of your drive, I'd say be safe and leave 1 G for root and 512M
- 1G for swap.  Apparently, swap can get pretty hungry if you are running X,
and it never hurts to have a bit of breathing space on root.

Example:
	~30 G HFS+
	1 G root
	1 G swap
	8 G usr
