Erg.... I had high hopes for that suggestion! ;)

Getting a "Device not configured" error still and dumping to "Boot:" prompt of
the ofwboot.xcf. So it's finding it, but not liking it.

I have the CD-R burned in hfs/iso hybrid and it looks okay when I pop it into
my MacOS X Server and I also copied the kernel to the hfs partition of my
local drive (though I doubted that would work and it didn't)... so...
basically I'm waiting another hour or so on the iso image of 1.5 and hopefully
that will work as it claims ppc bootability... heh! Thanks for all the
suggestion so far though!! It's great to see that NetBSD for ppc is at least
active (unlike some other *BSD that I could mention). <cough... OpenBSD...
