Hello,

I can log in to my system as root and type startx and X windows
starts up no problem 8bit. This is with NetBSD 1.5 on a G4.

But when I try to startx as a regular user I get this message and no X
windows.

OsVendorInit
X: open kbd/mouse: No such file or directory
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2
giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

Does anyone know what might be wrong? Also where is the XFConfig file?
/usr/X11R6/bin is my path and xinit is in /usr/X11R6/bin

ls -l /usr/X11R6/bin/xinit

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 11528 Nov 16 21:43 /usr/X11R6/bin/xinit

Thank you
Rene
