Hi.

Is there any known issue with the serial (RS422) ports of the earlier
PowerMacs? I don't seem to be able to use either one of the serial ports on
my G3. Even with a dread simple loopback, I get no response at all. It seems
to be *sending* things (There is activity on the TxD line, for I can
see a LED connected via a Max232 driver happily flashing); I haven't checked
if it actually transmits sane data. If I feed it with a known-to-be-correct
1200 baud stream, it remains quiet. It's not related to the port, both serial
ports remain quiet (And yes, I disabled the getty on the first serial
port)

Any ideas? I used minicom (among others) to check things. The hardware
is known to be working; it works like a charm under MacOS and *cough*
Linux..
