I don't understand the question.  Where do the USB adapters appear?
I guess they appear as some USB plugs on the back of your machine. :)

Where do they appear as devices?  Well, as /dev/usb0 and /dev/usb1 if
you for some obscure reason would need to access them.

Where can you see the devices?  Try the usbdevs command.
