I tried it once, and it didn't work (for IDE or USB, on my Blue G3).
I don't remember when this was in relation to other IDE/USB bugfixes
though...

I think that after you quiesce, you can't talk to OF any more though
(or at least, if you do, it un-quiesces). If so, it's not a usable
solution until we have native video support rather than relying on OF
calls.
