Henry,

I managed to use ofwboot to boot off of a zip disk a couple of weeks
ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember if I loaded ofwboot off of the
zip, a CD, or my HFS hard drive, and now I can't seem to get Open
Firmware to run it off of any of them. I'm pretty sure it was off of
the CD, though.

I think I simply gave ofwboot the device alias for the zip disk:
something like "zip:0,netbsd". This was after booting ofwboot with
the -a option, of course. I may have specified the entire path of the
device, though. I can't get back to check until I can convince open
firmware to boot it again, though. :(

Of course, things may be different: I'm using ofwboot.elf, not
xcoff, and a much later version of OF than you have.
