    I'll pay shipping if you want to loan me your G4 and Cinema Display so I
can ogle it for a few days :))))  On a more realistic note, NetBSD does not
have any direct video drivers. The system console uses OF which AFAIK only
supports 8 bit color. Not only would what you want require someone to
write/port video drivers for AGP on a brand new chipset, but someone would
have to write a true color X server for NetBSD. So basically until someone
decides they have enough free time to take on the sheer *fun* of
writing/porting video drivers and an X server that supports them, you're
stuck with 8-bit color. If I've messed up somewhere I'm sure someone on the
list will correct me.
