I've scoured the list archives and believe I have exhausted
all of the leads there, so...

I've installed on the IDE drive, made sure that I've made the
disk bootable by using:

/mnt/usr/mdec/installboot -v /mnt/boot /mnt/usr/mdec/bootxx /dev/rwd0a

I've made sure that "boot-device" and "boot-file" vars are empty.
I can't get the sucker to boot.

where am I going wrong?
