you can always checkout older versions of the code via 

 cvs -D <date> checkout

aside from the above problem, I am also having trouble
with make build, it dies near pppd with an ill-defined
lvsprintf() error. at any rate, i just wiped my entire
src tree, i will fetch down a new version tonight and try
to give it a build. 

anyone else here is successfully running a version 
of the macppc port older than 0205? 

also i am curious of the Wavelan support on the netbsd end.
got my Silver PC Card today, cool as hell.
