I'm running 1.4.2-ALPHA on my G&W G3. While trying to compile a new
kernel or trying to do a "make release" on the -release code I get system
crashes in cpp. Usually these are trap type 300 panics. There is no
usable traceback information; everything printed shows values of
0xffffffff. The offending instruction always seems to be "lwz r0, r1,
0x14".

Has anyone else been seeing these problems? Is this a code problem or
possibily a hardware problem with my system?

thanks,
-bob
