I was re-installing 1.4.1 when I got your email, so I waited until it
finished...

I took out all the SIMMS expect for 2 32's and the machine would not boot. I
put them all back in and it did. So I have a working system!!

I'm happy. thank you all for all your help.

just one more really newbie question, how do I edit rc.conf? emacs or vi
don't seem to be there. I'm in the etc/ directory and:

# vi
vi: not found
# emacs
emacs: not found

(Sorry, I've been a BSD user for a couple years, this is my first time as an
admin ...)
