I've been trying over and over again to get sysinst to work, but it refuses
to install NetBSD-1.4 on my Power Macintosh 8500. Trying every permutation
of installing, upgrading, re-installing, from a CD or through ftp, the
closest I got was half way through the base set. I'm giving up on sysinst,
because if I try working with it any longer I'll end up giving up on
computers (anybody know of a high paying ditch digging job?).

What does this program do? I figure it does these steps:

	Partitions your hard drive
	Formats the appropriate partitions
	Mounts the appropriate partitions
Finds the installation sets (setting up whatever devices are needed)
Extracts the files from the installation sets

Am I missing any steps. I've played around in the shell after booting from
the floppy. It seems to me that I can do these things from the shell. If
I do these steps manually, will it work?

By the way, once I do this, how do I tell Open Firmware to boot NetBSD from
the hard drive?

Also by the way, is it just me, or is www.netbsd.org not responding to
everybody else?
