I can't get the install floppies to build at the moment,
unfortunately, so there's no simple way to upgrade everything. (The
kernel should work with a 1.4 userland though.)

The kernel ought to support iMacs and Blue G3s much better than the
1.4 kernel. The X server has fixes for the mouse wheel and pixmap
display bugs. You can see other changes since 1.4 at
