That is what my alpha does with enlightenment. There are additional
symptoms, though:
o I get the above symptoms on my alphas on 8 bit displays.
o If I run it over the net to a 16bit or 32bit display, it
works.
o If I set up imlib to not used shared memory it cores.
Unfortunately I have no working 32bit display on my alpha, so I
can't run the most obvious next test.
