Hello again.
After having installed 1.4 (by hand), I couldn't figure out how to boot
from wd1. Finally the idea struck me  to build (from todays source) an
extremely customized kernel which forces root to wd1a. Fine, I netboot OK,
the boot goes fine, the file systems are checked, but again, the keyboard
is dead as a doornail. I stripped out things from the config file to the
point where the kernel died very early in the boot process, but nothing
helps. I am cross-compiling on a 386. If anyone has a patch for this, or
has a working kernel he/she would like to recompile with root on wd1a, or
has the source for it, or *anything*, please mail me. I soon go berzerk
over this :-(
