Subject: Is it me, or are -current kernels not bootable?

I don't recall changing anything since I last compiled a working kernel on
09 Feb 1999, but something is odd... OFW on my iMac loads the kernel and
dies with `DEFAULT CATCH!'.  Anybody else notice this?  Has anything
changed lately with regard to initialization before the console is set up?
