Re: generic HBA errors on Mac Classic II
Thank you so much!
I still get the parity errors, but the generic HBA errors go away with
this kernel build. This is enough for the machine to boot!
Still, I'm left wondering why the parity errors don't occur with
INSTALLSBC, even after mounting/chrooting. Something in the difference
between the INSTALL and GENERIC kernel configs must be to blame,
right?
So I went and built a new kernel from the latest trunk, using a config
identical to the one you provided except
1. I added this line for daynaport support:
dse* at scsibus? target ? lun ?
2. I added options FPU_EMULATE
3. I removed all lines that mention nubus.
My new kernel doesn't boot; it just hangs after the "so I sez
<whatever>" line in Booter. Not sure why this would be.

Truly.
Thanks again,
Ben
