Like I said in another post, the Quadra 700 does not support 16-bit
color.  Not even in Mac OS.   With 2 megabytes of VRAM, you will get
24-bit color in Mac OS, but I've been unsuccessful in getting 24-bit
with NetBSD.   You should have no problems with 8-bit color, however.

256 colors is still better than 1-bit B&W!  :-P
