Hi,

picking up a question from de.comp.os.unix.bsd, it seems like the keyboard
map support in wscons(4) is broken on mac68k (confirmed: netbsd-2, 3.99.10):

[hauke@pizza] /<5>mac68k/conf > fgrep ws GENERIC
# wscons options
wsdisplay* at macfb? console ?
wskbd* at akbd? console ?
wsmouse* at ams?
pseudo-device grf 2 # grf emulation for wscons
pseudo-device ite 1 # ite emulation for wscons

[hauke@mara] /dev # dmesg | grep ws
wsdisplay0 at macfb0 (kbdmux ignored): console (std, vt100 emulation)
wskbd0 at akbd0 (mux ignored): console keyboard, using wsdisplay0
wsmouse0 at ams0 (mux ignored)
[hauke@mara] /dev #

[hauke@mara] /dev # ll wskbd
0 crw------- 1 root wheel 45, 1 Dec 5 20:50 wskbd
[hauke@mara] /dev # /etc/rc.d/wscons restart
wsconsctl: /dev/wskbd: Device not configured
[hauke@mara] /dev #

-- or is this known (and supposed to) not to work? I wouldn't know - my
Quadra 700 has ttyE0 disabled because it runs an X server. OTOH, it has
"encoding de.nodead" in /etc/wscons.conf so this must have worked at some
time...

Comments?

	hauke
