Zippy is a good word, relatively speaking. I always found that the LC575
felt faster than it actually was. I have a fairly stock LC575 with 12MB of
RAM and a one GB hard drive (the stock drive was 160MB -- it's currently
acting as Swap partition in my PM7200). My 575 feels much faster than my
950, and the 950 is supposed to have certain speed "optimizations" that
Apple built-in. Although, the 950 is somewhat older than the 575. ;)

But yeah, of the 040 based Macintosh computers that I've used, the LC 575
ranks right up there as one of the "zippiest" around. I imagine that the 575
would see even more zippiness with a full 040 as opposed to the bastardized
68LC040 that mine is currently using.
