They don't display anything. If I type "users" at the prompt and hit
[Enter], I'm immediately thrust back to the prompt on the next line. There
is no message indicating improper usage, nor is there any message stating
that the command cannot be found.

If I type the same command on my LC III, the expected output is displayed on
the screen followed by the shell prompt.

Both machines are configured precisely identical save the Quadra has a
smaller hard drive and 16MB less memory. Although, the Quadra does have the
built-in 68040 FPU whereas the 68030 based LCIII does not have the optional
68882 installed.

The only real difference I can think of between the two machines is the fact
that the LCIII is running the SBC kernel.
