Hello,

my troubles with isntalling NetBSD 2.0.2 don't take an end. To be
honest, i'm a bit sad and disappointed by it. I am a long-time netbsd
user and 2.0 is really "pointy" not only here on mac68, but on macppc.
too.

I got the IIci booting the sysinst kernel. Now it behaves like the MacII!

- boot sysinst
- select "new installation" not upgrade
- partition the hard disk with: 1. macos partition, 2. swap, 3. root/usr

- continue

- no formatting appears to be done

-ffsck is run, failure (of course, there is no filesystem). (I have a
photo of that, for those interested)

if I open a shell from the utilities menu, I can run "newfs" on the same
device that caused the ffsck error (well, on the equivalent non-raw
device) and redo all steps above (I just confirm the partitioning). Now
the setup will complete.

what then causes pain is that when I start downloading files from FTP..
I get disk full error.

I believe the default d/l directory was /usr/INSTALL

should that be /mnt/usr/INSTALL? where does the filesystem get mounted ?

I dropped again onto the shell, mounted the filesystem on /mnt2 and
see.. that there are no files at all on it.

Cheers,

    Riccardo
