I want to thank everyone who helped me on this problem.  Thanks to your help, 
I now have my old Macintosh working great with my network!  I bought a 
10Base-T HUB and connected it up to the network card.  After deleting all the 
manual configurations, I set up DHCP and it recognized the service.  Thank 
you very much for all your help.
