Does NetBSD has an HFS mout utility? That will make it a lot easier to 
get the full dmesg.
I agree it does behave like an interrupt conflict. Is there a different 
kernel I should try? I got the default netbsd-GENERICSBC.gz 1083 KB 
09/08/2002 from ftp.netbsd.org.
