I've only been able to get 3 MB/s out of the internal SCSI bus, even
with a couple of 36 GB Quantum Atlas IV 7200 RPM disks in it. I thought
it'd at least do 5 MB/s.

Yep, I think those were shipped in the Apple Workgroup Server versions
of the Q950. I think Apple only supported them under Unix.
