is there an easier way to access appletalk / appleshare IP volumes than 
installing CAP ? 

I just had a brief look into the readme of cap and stopped at the point 
where they said that you have to apply at least 98 patches (if you download 
the version that already has patch 1-100 applied) to get a recent version...
