New 1.6G Installation Kernels with the change Dave Huang suggested are 
available for testing at:

     ftp://murphy.dyndns.org/pub/netbsd-INSTALL.gz
       and
    ftp://murphy.dyndns.org/pub/netbsd-INSTALLSBC.gz

If they work and you'd like to complete your 1.6x installation you'll 
also need the corresponding kernel (GENERIC or GENERICSBC) from the same 
place.

I won't have time to test these until later tonite but I thought I'd 
make them available for others to test.
