I recommend that ones choose a CS Ethernet on "AppleTalk" control panel.
(this is under Open Transport)

In AppleTalk, Mac OS certainly need to transmit one or more packets,
to bind node ID dynamically.
So, Ethernet interface will be certainly initialized.
