Woke up this morning to find (as expected) the download of 1.4 completed.
Ran mkfs against the NetBSD partitions on the PowerBook 170 that's been
giving me troubles booting under 1.5/1.5.2 (to wipe out previous install
attempts) and fired up the installer. Waited. And waited. And waited some
more. Finally got kern finished installing, made devices, and then fired
the booter. Set everything to default, and punched "boot now".

HOORAY!!!!!! It would appear I've got a live BSD installed! Now to get it
configured, install the compiler toys and such, and get the beast rockin'
and rollin'.

Now that I've got something to work with, I might be able to try the
"HWDIRECT" thing that John Ruschmeyer mentioned, and get 1.5.2 up and
running. Cross yer fingers for me! :)
