Hello,

as a rather fresh NetBSD-user I have some problems that may occur rather
stupid to expierienced people.

So why does
    wsconsctl -k -w encoding=de
give an error, that something in some header file xyz.h isn't found instead
of let me use a German keyboard?
Though a header file is concerned, do I have to recompile the kernel? Would
be a funny thing for a newbie and on an LC II.

Is it a sideeffect that a have to type the uppercase Q in vi to get the
colon to type something like :wq ? Of course now remembering that I a have
to use my keyboard with the US layout.
In the body of the edited text the (US) colon works.

Another thing that looks strange is
    reboot
or
    shutdown -r now

Sometimes it runs through, other times it hangs the system and brings up
the debugger.
Is there a safe and reliable way to restart netbsd?

And the third question I have:
I got the mac68k distribution from a CD burner service some weeks ago and
some of the sets were ok others stopped with the message from the
installer, that the format is invalid after installing a quite good amount
from the set.
Ok, now I fetched the concerned sets myself, but: Is this a well known
problem and how can I advice the CD burner to do the job right (in the
sense NetBSD seems to be meant to work ;-) ?

Should I fetch the whole bunch of sets one could find now at ftp.netbsd.org
for having the best working system and not mix the sets on the CD with
newer ones?
