Wonderful hardware, whether running MacOS or NetBSD

The latest status is that the concensus is that LC040s are too broken to
get FPU emulation working. The versions of the chips that can work are too
rare to consider that an option. For example, I have a stack of 15 LC040
chips from upgraded Quadras and Amigas, but NONE of them are the proper
version.

Get a 68040 from eBay; you won't regret it. The LC / Performa 475 is a
wonderful machine - stable and small.
