How can I tell whether my serial ports are working correctly?  I have no 
modem or printer...what I do have is a LocalTalk network to which I am 
eventually trying to connect...I am working on porting macipgw to be 
able to route between my ethernet and LocalTalk networks.

LocalTalk Bridge works fine in MacOS, but it doesn't give me MacIP 
routing.
