Group:

Just thought I'd like to note that Tenon Intersystems is closing out their
MachTen product at a very attractive price.

For those who are unfamiliar with MachTen, it is BSD 4.3 and 4.4 which runs as
a MacOS application on top of the MacOS. There are versions which run on 68K
and PPC Macs.

I've used it on 68K platforms and it works fairly well. Tenon seems to be
moving to provide tools for OS X and moving away from the older platforms and
OS. Since MachTen *is* BSD 4.3 and 4.4, which OS X is built upon, it would be
a good learning platform for the Unix side of OS X and, also, to provide Unix
functionality for older Macs.

Rather than go into the details, check out www.tenon.com.
