i've got an LC 575, upgraded to a real 68040, with 20M ram.

during the install, and after getting it done, i've been having intermittent
hangs of the sn0 interface.

the condition is cleared with an ifconfig up/down of the interface.

the problem illustrates itself quite well when doing large FTP's.
(an ifconfig up/down in the middle of an ftp allows the ftp to continue)

some other oddities:

when i was installing using the 1.5.1 INSTALL kernel, i was not able to
ping in or out of the machine.
(in order to install, i replaced /sbin/ping with a sh script saying "exit 0".)

although i could not ping, i was able to resolv DNS, ftp, telnet, etc, etc.
traceroute appeared to work as well, which was truly strange.

i am now running a kernel from the snapshot "1.5X (GENERIC) #67", but this
has not made any real change.

anyone got any suggestions?
