I have a 6100/66 (soon to be 6100/80... or a smoldering pile of rubbish)
running MkLinux and I like it a lot. Another option is the Nubus
monolithic kernel (for Linux, sorry), at
http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/
It's newer, and faster at a few things.

I believe David Gatwood has done some work, or will do some work, at
getting Darwin to run on Nubus machines... that might help get NetBSD
running on them.

On the subject of booting Nubus PowerMacs, which should go on the
MacPPC list, BootX would be a better choice since it's open source.
However, people with had problems with it in certain cases (HPV video
cards -- did I get the right acronym? Can't remember... to much
chemistry class.)

I was under the impression that MacPPC had problems with the 601 and/or
Nubus, not just booting. I know that for a long time only the Mach based
MkLinux could "boot" on Nubus machines, i.e. monolithic Linux couldn't.

Anyway, sorry for being off topic.
