     Hi Allen,

I've collected 6 of those on my Centris 650 so far: every time 65504

Zero in all six cases.

The problems arose under heavy I/O load (moving a directory tree with
50000 files, 110 MB, to another - Quantum Lightning 540 MB - drive).

I've decided to try another drive, a 1 GB Seagate Medalist, which worked
without a flaw. No system lockups, not a single entry in the syslog, only
ntpd reports (clock lost 17 seconds over 20 minutes).
Of course, this could have been expected: if you say "seagate", it sounds
like the German "sie geht", which means "it works". :-)

Best wishes,

         Nico
