As others have noted, 1.5.1_ALPHA doesn't have the updates, although a
pullup request has been sent to the release engineers (which means that
it should be part of 1.5.1_ALPHA eventually--oldpuma.macbsd.com is a
Q950 that is currently running 1.5.1_ALPHA with the patches).

You should also have no major problems running a -current kernel from
the snapshot with your 1.5 "userland".
