I have been having trouble with it, but it wasn't involved in the install.

Starting up from OS 7.5 then running the Booter using "netbsd" on the NetBSD
filesystem.

The installer.

Yes, I did this after the installation and got no errors.

All the files were downloaded / put on the drive on a 7100. The drive was
then put in the IIcx and the actual installation was done on that machine.

No, it's SCSI 0.
