Greetings:
This list was extremely helpful in heading me in the right direction on
my choice of window managers. I am hoping to get a little advise on
another matter.
I (finally) have dial-in PPP up and running. Now I have to select some
clients to use the 'net. Like most things UN*X, most of these don't just
work "out of the box", so I know I will have to do some tweaking. I am
wondering what others have found of use for dial in accounts, via modem.
I am not on a network. I am tentatively thinking of using Lynx for web,
maybe Pine for email and maybe trn for news. But so far I haven't gotten
Lynx to run correctly, (only I could do that!!). I am not looking for
anything elaborate.
Once again I am not trying to ask "what's best", but rather, "what's
been your experience?"
TIA. The advise on window managers was really good, I wound up using
icewm. Hey, compared to TWM.....
