It looks like it's sending data at a different line setting - different
speed and/or bit protocol (parity/stop bits).  Then it switches to 9600
for the regular boot.

If you're curious, all you have to do is guess the initial default line
settings, including line speed, stop bits and parity.  I'd try 9600 and
1200 baud with different combinations of stop and parity.  Maybe 19200
if 1200 and 9600 don't yield anything.
