Simply put: the asun version is maintained (by Adrian Sun), the original
umich netatalk1.4b2 from pkgsrc is not. Why we have the original version in
pkgsrc and not asun's, is beyond me (other than for workload reasons, that
is).

Adrian Sun's work is pretty solid; I have asun2.14p35 in production use at
work for almost half a year now.
